Oak Crest offers a secured on-line reservation service. Once request for reservation is made, we will e-mail you a confirmation for your accommodation. If your requested cottage is not available, we'll let you know what is available and then you can make the decision if any of the choices are acceptable or not.
You can check availabity yourself on the right side of this page. Click on the "Availability" Button and click on the calendar day or key in your dates and it will show you what is available. This Calendar is pretty much real time. The exception comes in when we've taken a reservation when we are out & about. Then when we get home, it is updated.
You will need to secure your reservation with a major credit or Debit card. Upon arrival you may pay cash or use your credit card (Visa, MC, Disc). We do not accept checks. Even if you are paying with cash, you will still need to present your Credit/Debit card upon checkin.
CANCELLATION POLICY
SINGLE RESERVATIONS
A full refund minus $50 or $100 (for packages) is returnable if your cancellation is given to us two weeks prior to your arrival date. Any cancellations taking place after that time will be subject to a refund less a Fifity-dollar or Hundred-dollar (for packages) fee ONLY if reservation period can be rebooked. Otherwise, you will be responsible for room charges. This policy applies to any shortening of your stay or later date arrivals.
GROUP RESERVATIONS
Per Cottage or Room a full refund minus $50 or $100 (for packages) is returnable if your cancellation is given to us four weeks in advance. Any cancellations taking place after that time will be subject to a refund less a twenty-dollar fee ONLY if reservation period can be rebooked. Otherwise, you will be responsible for room charges. This policy applies to any shortening of your stay or later date arrivals.
DEPOSITS
Your Credit/Debit Card is just used to hold your reservation.
Upon check in you can pay with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Cash. We do not accept American Express or Checks.
There is no refund for early departures.

When Elaine turned 50...she wanted to do something very special to celebrate! So...she & Don went to France. They spent a week in Paris and a week in the South of France.
While there Elaine fell in love with Monet's life! Just imagine...This artist rented a plot of land, built a cottage and created what is world known today as Monet's Gardens in Giverny. He would plant a tree in the perfect spot as so the light would hit the flower just right, he built a pond so he could paint lilly pads.
Monet sent Elaine searching for Oak Crest...someplace where she & Don could create something special and memorable... Monet's love of pastels helped in Elaine's vision of soft greens & pinks for this sweet little Rock Cottage.
So Elaine dedicates this Rock Cottage in Monet's honor.

When we (Don & Elaine) went to England we went on several unescorted walking tours. Unescorted is where you hike from Inn to Inn and your luggage is transferred for you or it is when you take day hikes out of your self-catering cottage.
We had requested that our hikes be no longer then 6 to 10 miles per day. On this particular hike we had no idea what to expect as today our hike was ending at “The Mountain Chalet”. So we assumed the end of the hike would be pretty strenuous. We’ve been walking about 5 hours and so far the terrain has been pretty easy, but we are beginning to tire. We pass our last marker that lets us know that we are about one mile from “The Mountain Chalet”.
The terrain is pretty level. We are hiking thru a valley, so we’re thinking any minute we’ll be hiking up the side of the valley to reach the “Mountain Chalet”. The trail continues to meander thru the valley and we turn a bend and there sits the “Mountain Chalet”!
What a welcoming surprise it was, we were so happy that we didn’t have to hike up to the top of a mountain to reach it.
We soon discover that is a well know English Tea Room noted for its scones and clotted cream. So now we are really excited in anticipation of experiencing our first English tea!
After spending four months in England, it never ceased to amaze us how out in the middle of nowhere there would always be a Tea Room filled with patrons!
So we dedicate our Mountain Chalet in fond memory of our trip to England. With its warm red exterior, its cozy cottage feel with burgundy walls, I will never forget sitting in front of the fireplace sipping my English tea and experiencing my first taste of England’s amazing clotted cream.
Our Mountain Chalet offers a comfy queen bed, reclining loveseat in front of a cozy Fireplace and Air Conditioning (in season only), Jacuzzi for 2, kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave & coffeemaker, Cable TV with DVD and high speed interent access. And to top it all off a cuddly hammock for two out on the deck. (Hammock available May thru October). With its cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows you are sure to experience a visiting deer or two!
Note from Elaine:
Our older guests seem to love the Mountain Chalet. It is very easy to get to and they enjoy the back deck overlooking the meadow where the deer like to visit.

When I tried to book a rock cottage they were all booked and you said that the only remaining cottage that you had was the Mountain Chalet. I just couldn't see how spending an additional $30 per night could possibly make such big of a difference, boy was I wrong. It is so private and romantic. Danny was so happy that the rock cottage was booked as our cottage was twice the size of a rock cottage, it had a wonderful place to recline and watch TV and had a wonderful deck with that wonderful hammock.
All I can say if anyone is hestitant about spending the extra money, this cottage is worth much more than you are charging.

The "Chateau Treehouse"
18 years ago when Elaine & Don celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary they blacklined thru the California Wine Country. Blacklining as Elaine calls it, is to only go on the black lines of a map. It is a wonderful way to travel to anywhere! It gets you off the beaten track and you discover things you never would of out of a tourist book. Well, while blacklining they ended up on a dirt road that lead them to a magnificant grape vineyard and as they were passing it they noticed another smaller path that was lined by trees and there was alittle sign that said "The Chateau". They went down this path and at the end of it was this incredible Villa surrounded by 100' trees and a view of the valley that was just breathtaking.
Elaine can only imagine what it was decorated like inside. So for this Chateau she has choosen rich colors of golds, burnt sienna and umber. However this Chateau offers something different from the original one... you won't need to blackline to get to it!

This charming room was used for a few scenes in Billy Bob Thornton's Movie "Chrystal".
"Thornton's" Queen Suite offers a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker with coffee. The Queen Anne recliners offer a wonderful space to relax and enjoy a good book or watch TV or a DVD. And of course it has its own private bathroom and air conditioning.
This is Elaine's favorite in the Lodge and the one she always puts her out of town friends in!

When Don & Elaine went to France, they spent quite a bit of time in Paris. At one point they stayed in a small flat at the top floor of a 4 story building. It was such a cheery place with its sunny yellow walls. There wasn't an elevator and they had to share a bathroom with 3 other rooms, but it was so charming it didn't seem to matter!
Well...this charming accommodation is Elaine's rendition of that Paris flat! Although it is abit easier to get to, since it is in the one story "<i>Lodge</i>" and you have your very own bathroom!
Another bonus... you aren't sharing a wall with another guest room as it sits at the end of the "Lodge" and the room next to it is being used for storage!
It has a Fireplace (gas-in season only)and a queen bed. A separate kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker with coffee. TV with DVD. And of course its own private bathroom along with air conditioning!

I was a little hesitant when I called in to book and was told the only availability they had remaining was “Suite Memories”. Yes it is not a $200 suite but for $59 it can’t be beat! Staying at Oak Crest in any cottage would be a plus for anyone coming to Eureka Springs. When registering Elaine asked if we’d like some restaurant recommendations, we said sure. Well she really does know all the best restaurants. Our first night we just wanted to get something quick to eat and didn’t go from her recommended map. It was an okay dinner, then the next day we decided to try a recommended one. We were in Eureka Springs 4 nights and believe me we stuck to her recommendations. Every place that we ate at we wanted to only eat there the rest of the time. But then the next day we’d try another recommendation and it was just as wonderful as the day before or even better! Oak Crest was totally an unexpected surprise.

Thank you for having such a wonderful place for me and my husband to stay. We had the privledge of staying the the Venice tree house for 3 nights. Upon arrival we walked up to the door and opened it and I begain to cry. It was just to pretty and perfect for me and my husband of 15 years. The way the space was used was just as wonderful as Don and Elaine are. Every detail was perfect, right down to the movies and cards. I would like to thank you Elaine for giving me the information on the headboard and footboard. I obtained the bed
today. I also was able to locate the bedding. Your place is perfect. What a concept, brillant.
